I am an aspiring applied scientist with a passion to use technology to drive positive change in the real world. I work at the intersection of scientific machine learning and neurotechnology.
I am currently pursuing at PhD at Imperial College London, under the supervision of Dr James Choi in the Non-invasive Surgery and Biopsy Lab. We’re looking at transcranial focused ultrasound for targeted drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier. I’m working on advancing algorithms and computational methods in this effort.
Previously, I worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Oxa, where I used agent-based models and reinforcement learning to understand and synthesise autonomous driving scenarios, particularly those which are long-tail and safety-critical. Before that, I worked at InstaDeep, publishing research and open-source code on multi-agent reinforcement learning.
I did an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, and a BSc(Eng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cape Town.
I think a lot about community and how we build it, and spend the rest of my time running, reading, or cold-water swimming.
